And here is Natalie - I told the doctor she needs a helmet, too. That way if Audrey head-butts her she'll be fine!

Audrey's Helmet
So the helmet fitting went very well. Audrey was happy the whole time, and the doctor said that was VERY unusual. She will slowly start wearing the helmet more and more each day, until she wears it for 23 hours a day. She really doesn't seem to mind it. Here are some pictures of her new helmet - and her new best friend.

I'm glad to see that she did good and the helmet doesn't seem to be bugging her....I'm hoping Kaden is the same way!

ReplyDeletei don't even remember how i stumbled here, but i named my first-born Audrey, so i checked you out. PRECIOUS little girls. i voted for them and as of 10:49pm...they were winning by a landslide!! best wishes!
ReplyDeleteShe looks so cute!! Hopefully Natalie doesn't get jealous with the cool hat.
ReplyDeleteOh, the pink is so cute! I've seen people decorate the white ones with stickers or paint but I didn't realize they could come in other colors! How perfect. You didn't end up with the 2nd helmet thrown in like a Buy 1 Get 1?!?! I'm shocked considering they're so darned cute! Soon enough they'll be getting things thrown in for free here and there!
ReplyDeleteShe looks cute in it! And that look on her face in the one picture is priceless. It doesn't seem to bother her at all, does it?

ReplyDeletegotta a dmit i love her helmet.. pink it makes the world go round :)
I've been lurking on your blog for a while but thought I'd come out and say hi. Audrey looks great in the helmet. My daughter (Natalie Marie!) got her helmet at 7 mos and has been wearing it for just over 2 weeks. It is the same color as Audrey's. Anyway, she also adjusted very easily. The first day or two that she had to wear it for naps she was fussy, but then she got used to it and by the time it was time for her to wear it over night, she was fine.
ReplyDeleteShe has started to hit toys on her helmet though because she likes the sound! I hope she doesn't do that when she's no longer wearing it. My biggest question is what we should do during the summer. Since there's a hole in the center, I was thinking of getting a bigger hat to put over it so her scalp doesn't get sunburnt while we're outside.
Oh, yesterday a little boy, probably about 4, came up to Natalie at the park (she had her helmet on) and said "she has a really cool hat!" I hope that your transition continues to be as smooth as ours was.
OMG, that third picture is ADORABLE!! I'm glad everything is working out well with the helmet :-) Such a cutie!
ReplyDeleteshe looks adorable in her helmet!
ReplyDeleteCute pics! I know someone whose baby had a helmet, and when he was done with it, he kept hurting his poor head because he was used to being reckless and not getting hurt.
ReplyDeleteHow long does she need to wear it?
Aww, she's still just as precious as ever! How long will she have to wear the helmet? I'm so glad that she doesn't mind the helmet thus far and that things are going well.
