Bryan and his mom took the girls to the pediatrician today. Audrey weighs 17.19 lbs and Natalie weighs 17 lbs. That puts them around the 5-6th percentile for their age (down from the 13th from their last appointment), though the doctor didn't seem to be too concerned. They are also both 27" long. She was impressed with their vocabulary, waving, clapping and shaking their heads NO. She also said not to worry about Natalie and standing - that she is physically able to stand, but her content personality just doesn't care to.
I've been bed and couch bound all day with strep throat. I haven't had this since grade school, and boy does it suck! My throat is so swollen I can't even talk or eat. It stinks not being able to play with the girls, but I'm so happy my mom was able to come over and take care of them.
Hope you are feeling better soon!!! So sorry you are under the weather!!! My daughter will be 7 months at the end of this month and she's 17 pounds- lol.. ;)
Hope you feel better. Is this their 9 month appointment just a little late? Keeley outweighs them by about 3 lbs! She's just average for her age, she's dropped quite a bit from the 6th-9th month checkups, but her vocab JUST started including daddy this week and although she has sounds, no real words are formed other than mama and dada. No clapping and waving is pretty well forced, not spontaneous. Ugh! Oh well! I'm sure your girls will catch up in size to everyone else their ages by school time! They are such little social things, they have each other to feed off of! Lucky you!
