What is the biggest lesson that you have learned in your multiples' first year of life?
To throw any and all prior expectations out the window, and just go with the flow. When I first found out I was pregnant, I had high hopes of exclusively breastfeeding, making all organic food, no TV until 2, doing Mommy & Me classes, etc.
When I found out we were having twins, things changed. I was lucky enough to breastfeed and pump for 6 weeks, but the girls thrived on formula. Making all organic baby food for two is expensive and time consuming, and I don't have that kind of time. I've found that I can shower if I have the TV on, and most Mommy & Me classes have a one child/one parent ratio. So there ya have it - my biggest lesson learned is nothing ever goes as planned - but it is still so much fun!
