I promise that this isn't becoming a craft blog, but I finally finished my apple hat and have moved on! I am making a hat simiar to this (
pattern here) for the girls to wear on a daily basis over the winter. Since I've yet to buy their winter coats (not that we really need them here for more than a month or two), I wanted to stay somewhat neutral. I picked out a beautiful cream chunky weight yarn for the hat, and a pretty pink/green/mauve for the flowers.
Cute!
ReplyDeletevery sweet :)
ReplyDeleteI miss crocheting.. but Jasper absolutely REFUSES to wear a hat now, which is a bummer with the colder weather on it's way.
Very cute. I love knitting and have been knitting baby hats like crazy in the last month. Can't wait to see your finished product :o)

Dude. I can't knit. Crochet? Sorta. You should click over to Guideposts...they have a program where you can knit sweaters for cold, needy kids. They deliver them all over the world and they'll give you a free pattern (the link is somewhere on their homepage). I figure it would give you practice for making stuff for your girls, if you need it :) I read about it in their magazine this week and thought about your blog (for some odd reason ;)
ReplyDeleteJen - I love the hats.... and since I took up knitting a few weeks ago, I can't wait to start my first project. I've been practicing the stitches (note-don't knit while in the car I got very motion sickness) I've decided to make Nikki & Kaite scarves in CMU colors, hopefully they'll turn out.
