Adios

Today we bid adieu to several baby items:

Because
1.) My chunky monkey girls get their thighs stuck in the Bumbo seat
2.) They both need to join Cirque du Soleil for their contortion skills
3.) Audrey has learned to unbuckle herself
4.) The swing barely swings on full power

Can you believe these are the same little babies? And yes, I was too afraid to even turn the swing ON back then!

Someone please tell me where the past 8 months went?

Poor Little Audrey

Audrey had her one month appointment today with Orthopedic Services. She is doing very well with her cranial band! The doctor made a few adjustments because her head is changing already. She also was fitted for her soft collar.

She will wear the soft collar 4-5 times a day for 5-10 minutes, moving on to 10-15 minutes. During this time, she will not wear her cranial band. Hopefully this, paired with the physical therapy I do, will correct her torticollis and she won't require surgery. We go back in two weeks for a follow up.

I need to put a video of Natalie up. Every 3.5-4 hours, she starts to really talk saying "baba mama, baba mama". Well today, she drank her baba and after a few minutes said "baba mama" again. I went to the pantry and pulled out some bananas, and she kicked her feet and smiled. Apparently, ALL food is a "baba" for her!

And I am almost done with this school year - yipee!! Tomorrow if our first exam day, our 8th grade dance, Friday is 8th grade day, and then Mon-Thurs are exams and some half days. I am SO SO ready to spend this summer with my girlies. We have SO many fun things planned.

Things I Hate

So one of my blogger BFF inspired me to write about my top 20 things I hate. You all need to check out her blog, she's hilarious and oh so witty - and yes she does explain why her blog is about a pork chop.

So here goes my list:

1. The sound of scratching jeans, towels, skin or any other rough surface

2. Kate Gosselin's mullet

3. Green beans

4. The smell of restaurant tables after they've been 'cleaned' with a mildew smelling rag

5. People who shirk responsibility

6. That horrific song by the Ting Tings

7. The last few days of school before summer when both teachers and students are ready to combust with thoughts of the beach, sun, pool and sleeping in

8. People who think their looks overcome their crappy personalities

9. Socks with sandals

10. When I accidently hit the back key twice while typing a text and it erases the whole thing

11. That I'm currently sitting huddled like a bum over a trash can to my small ceramic heater in my classroom - that is 63 degrees

13. MTV's lack of MUSIC TV

14. How commercials are always louder then the program you are watching

15. People who fake things for attention

16. Talking on the phone

17. Slow drivers

Memorial Day

Today, we canceled plans for a play date with some of our baby friends so we could hang out with a certain someone. We got dressed all cute and talked about all the fun we would have.

Natalie has just learned how to say the certain someone's name.

We waited....

And waited....

And waited some more....

We learned that next time we'll know better than to cancel our super fun plans. But the day was not lost! Grandma & Grandpa, and Diana & Andy came over for a cookout. Yumm!

And the first two teeth belong to........Audrey!

Natalie is glad she doesn't have teeth yet.

Even though they are now in separate rooms, they love talking to each other in the morning (and mommy loves the 12 hours of sleep for Natalie, and only waking up once with Audrey)!

New Rooms

The girls used to share the green nursery, but were waking each other up during nap time and at night. So I decided to put one of the girls in the playroom instead. The total cost of the project was $30 - for the dark pink curtains in the green room, and the two curtain rods in the pink room.

Lily's Baby Shower

Today was a busy, yet fun, day. We attended the baby shower for my brother and sister in law. Their daughter, Lily, is due in June.

Once we got home, Diana and her boyfriend Andy helped me change the girls' rooms. Between teething, helmet issues and light sleepers - I decided to give each girl their own room. So Andy and I moved a crib into the playroom and split up the playroom toys. Now each girl has their own room. I'm working on small details tomorrow (wall art, placement of stuff, etc), but I promise to have pics soon!

Books & New Ride

We have story time before our bedtime bottles - though sometimes I think they like eating the books more than reading.

Here is Natalie trying out her new ride. It is going to be so NICE going to stores and fitting through doors and aisles. Oh, and having a stroller that will fit in my trunk without the assistance of the buggy boy in Target's parking lot.
