New Year's Resolutions

Going back and reading my resolutions from last year, I’ve decided I need to make mine a bit more practical for this year. I mean, joining a book club? Finding “me” time? Obviously I didn’t know what it would be like to work full time and have two toddlers – ha! I did stick to a few resolutions, like joining my UMOM club. Now if only I could make it to all my meetings…

1. Finalize my divorce – I am 100% completely satisfied with this decision. I have done everything within my power to make amends, and have realized you can’t change someone who doesn’t want to change. I also understand my girls and I are much happier and less stressed now than ever before. So cheers to this!

2. Take graduate courses – now before you go saying “how in the world will she ever do this with two toddlers” – I HAVE to maintain a certain amount of recertification credits to be a teacher. And my certificate expires next summer so this is a necessity. I already have my first course set up to start in February.

3. Go to my UMOM meetings – I mean, it is only once a month. Surely I can find a sitter!

4. Start the 30 Day Shred and watch what I eat – oh yes, Jillian Michaels, you naughty thing. I plan to spend 30 minutes a day with you. Stress and boredom have always caused me to eat more, which is why I gained almost 20 (yes, 20) pounds since this summer. And I need to shed this because…

5. I will go on a cruise this summer. By myself. And it will be fabulous.

What are your New Year’s Resolutions??

A Night Out

I'm having a night out on the town tomorrow for New Years with a group of friends. I haven't been out in so long, I might forget exactly what to do. If I dance, I'm sure I'll bust out the sprinkler - maybe even the robot. I'm wearing the dress below (except mine is blue) with a pair of footless leggings. Should I wear knee high black boots, or these really cute velvet d'orsay pumps I have?

New Best Friend

Natalie has a new best friend, and his name is Scout. Poor Lily has lost her little friend to Natalie. She hugs him, carries him around, and just now tried to sleep on him in the middle of my chaotic living room. I have a feeling that my next batch of Swagbucks Amazon giftcards will be going to purchase a Scout for Natalie and a Violet for Audrey...

Slumber Party

Tonight, the girls are having over their 6 month old cousin, Lily, for a slumber party. Yes, I am THAT crazy. While bedtime was, erm, interesting - earlier today they all had a lot of fun.

Hmmm, the shirts should have read Super Whiny today

Bad Idea

I'm beginning to think that the table and chair set was a bad idea.
