Today in class, we are making colonial teapots (as part of our year end review). I ordered these from the
Art in History website (they have fantastic projects for every era in History), and the kids have really enjoyed creating them. And since today was the Royal Wedding, we've been able to watch the coverage while painting. It was a great way to tie in British Royalty & customs, with our American Revolution.
First, we painted the teapots white…

Then we sketched on our designs…

…and then painted them

And finally we put on a finishing glaze.

All in all, they’ll make a perfect Mother’s Day gift….since some are such masterpieces that only a mother could love!
