Photo Book 2012 & Giveaway

Did you know that I took well over 7,000 pictures this year? And guess how many I have printed out? Um, one canvas of the kids, and like 3 photos. I'm horrible at printing pictures, and even worse at stuffing them in albums. Instead, I keep them all on various hard drives (like my external one that I keep in a fire proof file cabinet), and print out one album each year with the best of the best. The past 3 albums, I used Walmart.com, and they have done a great job. This year, I've been working with MailPix.com to make the albums. I like it even more than the Walmart website, because I'm able to manipulate the size and position of each photo, instead of just using the pre-made layouts. Here's what our 2012 family album looks like (and I get one for every grandma & great-grandma). I still have the last page to complete, which I will when I take the kids' holiday pictures this weekend.

Corbin's Party

We celebrated Corbin's first birthday yesterday with just our families. I called a local BBQ restaurant and reserved their back room for free, and we all ate a BBQ buffet. There was literally no set up and no clean up involved - so that was perfect. Little man got some great little outfits and the Fisher Price Little People barn for his birthday. He was a little upset to have to open his clothes after getting to see his barn, lol. But we more than made up for it by letting him attack his cake. I still can't believe he's one year old!

Here are a few pictures - and I think Eddie & I win bad parents of the year - we forgot the diaper bag (with wipes and spare outfit) and the camera.

One Year Ago

One year ago, our precious little boy made his entrance into the world 5 weeks early. I went home from school feeling off, and the next thing I knew, I was being admitted for monitoring. After several attempts to delay labor, Corbin made it well known that he wasn't going to be a December 22 baby!

Little man, you have the sweetest personality. You can be feisty (you are my child, after all), but you are so loving. You look up to your big sisters, and you so want to be big so you can do what they do. Your favorite word is "dada" and your favorite food is, well, anything edible - ha! You are a big boy now, drinking real milk, and using straws. You are so close to walking, you are just afraid to let go. Most nights, you sleep through the night, but sometimes you want extra snuggles and warm milk. Blankets are your favorite things, as well as your soft, fleece pajamas. I'm pretty sure you think socks have their own food group, because you love to take them off and chew. We love you, and can't wait to see what a wonderful little boy you grow up to be (though please, slow down!).
